Nate's Grandma Pat passed away on May 31, 2014. She is greatly missed, but we know she is in a better place and no longer struggling with an unhealthy body!
May 27 we made a last minute trip back to Carroll to visit Grandma Pat because her health was declining quickly. It was nice to see her again and give her hugs!
June 4, 2014 a service was held for her at a church just outside of Scarville, Iowa. Many of Grandma's relatives on both sides are buried in the cemetery there. Scarville is where the family farm was located and where Grandma spent most of her years growing up.

On our way home we stopped in Lake Mills (where Grandma's sister Sandra and her husband Harlan live) for a quick ice cream treat and to stretch our legs.
