So this morning this is what I really woke up to...on the left is the front of our house and you can see a tree branch from our back yard on our porch and the top half of our evergreen tree sprawled out across the front lawn. I don't know if that was quite the birthday present I wanted! I guess I actually woke up to Nate telling me that we need to get in the basement NOW at about 2 AM. I don't know about all of these crazy midwest storms! They keep telling me that it isn't always like this. Anyways, our trees don't look quite as pretty any more, but our house seems to be fine. Luckily!

Sarah, happy birthday! Sorry about your tree. I remember those storms. Sometimes there were white-outs from so much rain. It was crazy! Anyway, I guess on the bright side, you're right, at least your house is okay. Anyway, your girls are very darling. I'm glad Allyson is home and doing well.
