Pump it Up!

Nate’s sister, Tiff, invited us to come play at Pump It Up! before school started. We always have fun with the cousins, aunts, and uncles!

Racing Miss Hannah

Pump it up was followed by the Incredible Pizza Factory…good food and games!

The zoo, again!

So we enjoy going to the zoo and try to make it when we end up in Des Moines. This time it was Monday, so zoo members get a ticket to ride the train for free!

My Birthday

For my birthday I got a ticket to go to Ireland with my mom and Grandma! I am super excited!!! In fact as I’m updating the last 6+ months of this blog I’m waiting in the airport in Newark for my flight to Shannon, Ireland! On my actual birthday I got a full double rainbow.  By the time I got out my camera it wasn’t quite so bright, but it was pretty impressive!

The Swing Set

Grandma Deb and Grandpa Tom were super generous to us and got the girlies an amazing swing set for their birthdays. Here we are unloading the swing set from the truck with the help of our neighbor Andy and Hannah the photographer.
BIG truck!

Lots of boxes!
Trying to keep Miss Camille occupied!

The finished product...we LOVE to play outside!!!

Tune in to Main Street

On Thursday evening in June and July there are free, family friendly concerts in downtown Ames.  It is one of our favorite things to do (as long as it isn’t TOO HOT!) Each week they have face painting or a balloon artist, free popcorn, a bounce house, bubbles, games, etc.  Here are some pictures from throughout the summer at Tune in to Main Street.

My little monkey!

Swim Lessons

The girls did a session of swim lessons this summer.  I was a little nervous to sign Allison up since I can’t even get her to go to nursery at church lately.  BUT she surprised me and did a great job!  Hannah thinks she is a fish now and Allison loves going to the pool, too!

4th of July

We headed to Carroll for the 4th of July and painted Grandma Pat’s house.  Here we are enjoying some time with family!
Well, most of us enjoyed our time!

Allison and her typical camera smile:)

My pretty baby!

Cherries!

What we didn’t know when we moved into our house was that we have 2 cherry trees in our back yard!  They are tart cherries, but they sure turned into a great pie!

And I forgot to get a picture of my very first cherry pie…but it actually looked pretty, too!

Reiman gardens

Another thing that we have enjoyed this summer is Reiman Gardens.  This year we got a membership and the girls and I have been going for story times there. Here are my cuties enjoying the gardens.

And some photography by Hannah in the butterfly exhibit:
